Volunteers moved efforts to raise funds for CREMA

IN TIMES OF COVID-19… CREATIVITY AND LOVE FOR LIFE MOVE US TO INNOVATE.

This group of friends (The Hummel Family) had assisted our community-based sea turtle conservation projects in the past through Turtle Trax, a private wildlife conservation agency that provides volunteer labor to CREMA, a Costa Rican endangered marine specie conservation non-profit organization. Unfortunately, this year they were unable to come and help us out because of the COVID-19 crisis. So, they figured a way to keep on helping! They developed and sold these facial masks in order to help the organization remotely.

The sale of this product among their friends and family alone, all of whom are fully identified with the MARINE CONSERVATION CAUSE, has allowed for the raising of US$4000, which will be donated to CREMA to contribute with sea turtle protection on nesting beaches in tandem with coastal communities.

On behalf of CREMA and Turtle Trax, many thanks to Christopher and Sebastian Hummel, and everyone who joined the effort. Marine turtles also appreciate it!
